Did you see the opening ceremony from London last night? I sure did and I loved it! I’ve been looking forward to the Olympics for weeks, maybe even months now and I’m so happy the time is finally here. I loved the entire ceremony but I have to say that I liked the funny part with James Bond and the Queen most of it all!
However, I’ve realized that I will spend LOTS of time in front of the TV during the upcoming weeks and that means the livingroom will be the most important room in my home now. That led to a question, namely; what should the perfect livingroom be like and what’s the most important part of the livingroom?
You know what I think? I always say that the light is most important in whatever room we talk about, and the livingroom is no exception, the light is very important. However, during these two weeks there is one thing that is even more important than the light, and that is… The sofa! I wouldn’t be able to make it without a real comfortable sofa and I’m so happy that we purchased a sofa that is comfortable and stylish just a few months ago. It’s a divan sofa and I love it! It’s definitely the most important part of the livingroom at the moment.
Apart from good light and a comfortable sofa I also think it’s important to have a quite big TV. It makes the whole TV experience a lot more enjoyable. A nice looking tv bench is also important to take some focus from the TV, since I prefer to keep focus away from the electronic equipment in the room. I want the livingroom to be a place for relaxation and retreat and I don’t want the TV to be the most remarkable spot in the room.
Tell me about your livingroom. What does it look like and what do you like best about the room? Is there anything you’d like to change there? Oh, and are you going to watch the Olympics?
