We’ll leave the lamps for now… I think you know by now that I’m fascinated by lighting and it’s time to move on to a new, maybe a little bit more exciting topic. What could that be? Flowers and garden of course!
I grew up in the countryside…. Oh well, I guess you could call it a small village, but it’s still the countryside. The garden was (and still is) filled with flowers, trees and even a few small ponds. My mother has always been very interested in gardening and she created her own pergola, something that made the garden a lot more cozy and interesting. I loved it when I was a child and I still love it when I come to visit in the summer.
The thing we’re going to look at now is, as you might have guessed, pergolas. Have you ever noticed how you can change a big and plain garden into a world of small, blooming rooms with help from a pergola? It’s actually quite simple but you will need some plants in addition to the pergola. When the plants have grown around the pergola it almost feels like a room of its own and it’s absolutely amazing! If you want to see results quickly you should pick plants that grows quickly, otherwise you might have to wait a few years before you achieve the result that you hope for. However, with the right plants (various types of roses, honeysuckle and clematis for example) you can achieve a satisfying result without having to wait for ages.
Do you think a pergola would look good in your garden? I think so too! You could buy one of course, and there are a few samples of some nice looking pergolas below. You could also create your own pergola, and we will look at that in the next blog post. Yes! I’ll tell you how you can build your own pergola in an accurate and hopefully easy way.
