I’ve talked about gardening a few times on the blog but I just can’t get enough of it, it’s a great topic to discuss. I’ve got a little reminder for you: the garden doesn’t have to be big, the important thing is that you make the most of it. Maybe it’s just a few square meetres outside the door but that can actually be enough if you make plans before starting with the gardening project. Here are a few ideas that might be helpful if you have a little spot that can be turned into an extra room outside.
- Plant some fast growing bushes around the little garden spot. It doesn’t matter if it’s small, it can still work as a place for relaxation. In a small garden it’s even more important to use bushes and big plants though, to make the place a bit more secluded.
- Use a pergola as an entrance door to the garden spot. Make the plants grow on it to make the place even more cosy.
- Grow your own herbs in the garden. It will make the cooking a lot more fun and it’s good for the environment as well.
- Put a nice sign on the entrance. It can be a name sign but it can also tell the name of your cottage or the name of the little garden space. It makes the place more personal and I can assure you that it will add an exclusive touch to your garden.
Have you made the most of your garden? It doesn’t even have to be a garden that belongs to a house, some apartments have small spots outside the terrace as well and those can be used for gardening too. It’s all about using your imagination and creativity. I’m sure you’ll be able to get a nice little outdoor room as well if you try.
